CLINICAL EXPERIENCE

As a music therapy student, I have had the opportunity to work on various projects that have enriched my learning experience and skills. Each project has contributed to my growth and expertise in using music as a therapeutic tool to help others.

Southshore Conservatory

Telehealth, CO 1

For this site I was doing Telehealth and I learned a lot about the patient and adapted piano lessons. We did dance parties and goodbye songs and learned a lot of songs on the piano for the client to play in an upcoming showcase at the place where he lives.

Stepping Tones

Telehealth, CO 2

For this site I was also on Telehealth and I got to facilitate at the end of the sessions one song that I wrote for the patient, which I think he enjoyed.

Ukulele Kids Club

Telehealth, AP 1

In this site I also had telehealth again but made the best of it by facilitating my own session last week. It went well and I can't wait to end the semester with a bang this week with my fellow AP 1 students.

Dana-Farber Cancer Institute

In-person at the Dana-Farber Cancer Institute in Boston, AP 2

During this site I got to have an in-person perspective for the first time at a site, and I learned a lot of new ways to make session plans, and be creative with interventions. I enjoyed working with kids at this site, it was very rewarding although difficult at times.
